I found this unit very useful for categorizing the different types of "English learners." It was a strong overview of the main branches of English-language teaching and I look forward to expanding on teaching English to young learners and teaching business English in the two courses that follow this one. I have long been familiar with the differences between teaching young learners and adolescents/adults, but I never really considered to marked difficulties in regard to teaching specialized English, such as legal or business English. Having a background in business Spanish, I feel I could relate a large amount of the material I learned (and, of course, the way I learned said material) to my own teaching in the English language. I also thought the varying list of beginners was interesting to analyze as it gives an idea of the type of students I will encounter when I start my career as an EFL instructor.
