This unit covers a few examples of the difficulties we may come across when teaching. Each group is going to be different as discussed in the previous unit, though there are some basic strategies laid out here that I find very helpful. For example, I've noticed when students use their native language in class its generally because they don't understand. It's important to remember this isn't always because the student is trying to be disruptive (but this does happen sometimes!). I also like the suggestions for larger classrooms environments where you may have a variety of skill levels. Pairing stronger students with some of the weaker ones is a good example of how we may help those that are falling behind.
