This unit reminds us as English language teachers to clarify the differences between language testing for internal and external language exam. For internal language exam, we focus more on placing students to the right levels and their progress. For external language exam, it focuses more on the English level that students should have in order to enter to universities. Different type of tests have different purposes and level focus. Questions that require expansive answers would be the best to know our students progress in accuracy and fluency.
