In unit 18, I learned all about modals, phrasal verbs, and the passive voice. Modals are: can, could, may, might, shall, should, will, would, must, have to, have got to, need to , needn't, and ought to. They express numerous ideas such as the following: Obligation - I really must finish the antibiotics. Possibility/Probability - I might go to the gym tomorrow Permission/Prohibition - You may go home now Ability - I can play four sports Advice - You should take your car into the shop to be fixed Teaching activities include role-plays, rules, and signs. The two voices that are used in English are: active and passive. In the passive voice, the object of an active verb becomes the subject of the passive verb. In the active voice, the focus is on the agent. However, in the passive voice, the agent is much less important or does not appear
