The unit discussed evaluation and testing. Three ways,(tutorials, evaluation by students, tests), of assessing students were given. However the topic of tests was discussed in detail. The different types of tests were discussed as well as the different stages in the learning process where each test can be administered. A sample placement test was also given as well as an explanation of the different types of general external examinations and Cambridge Assessment. The sample placement test was very useful as it highlighted possible areas to focus on when constructing a placement test. In addition, the explanation of the types of examinations was also beneficial.
