I appreciated reading about different methodologies to teaching English, as I am currently teaching English at an NGO school in Cambodia that for the most part is using very traditional, somewhat outdated methods like Grammar-translation and Audio-lingualism. I am trying to push the boundaries with my lesson plans to better engage the students and practice newly learned language concepts through new/diverse activities, so it was food for my brain to hear different specific ideas for engaging the students. My only complaint is that this course is only teaching me the ESA strategy, and demands I cater my lesson plans/responses throughout the course to suit only this type of methodology. Overall, learned some nice ideas for lesson planning.
