In this unit, it gives us a great analysis of the course book and materials. It gives us the information of the advantages, disadvantages and best use of coursebooks. When selecting the course book, the price should be considered, which I haven’t considered before. In our training center, I acknowledged that teachers often use some extra materials instead of just focusing on the textbook. They rarely refer to the teacher’s book as well. Their teachings are very effective as well. As a teacher in the center, it often the leader’s job to choose which course book is to use. But for us, we need to use the assigned coursebook more wisely and try not to put ourselves in the cage of the course book.
