In Unit 5, the topic covered managing the classroom. The unit offered guidelines for the way a teacher should conduct their class for different activities as well as setting up the learning environment. The right set up for the learning environment is essential because if done incorrectly it can greatly hinder the learning process. Depending on the size, age, nationalities, and physical space of the classroom, seating arrangements can vary. Once the classroom is set, the teacher acts in ways to exude to the students that they have control over the learning environment and will lead the lesson. Gestures, or body language, and eye contact will keep students engaged and feeling involved throughout the lesson. These are just some of the few ways a teacher can manage a class.
