This final unit discussed some of the problems that may arise during teaching. It talked about first lessons, building rapport, English level gap within a class, dealing with students using their native language, having larger classes and more. What I found most useful about this unit was the section on first lessons. As first lessons are special and vital for shaping the overall atmosphere of the class, I took away key points such as : not using the course book, using games to build rapport with students and get to know them, doing needs analysis etc. It was a short but informative unit.
