The meaning of one sentence can be interpreted into a variety of ways simply depending on which word carries more stress. This unit describes then intricacies of phonetics for the English language. During this unit, even as a native english speaker, I struggled with reading through the phonetic language. The way we pronounce our words and how we dictate our language while difficult, is something that I personally never took the time to consider. This is a topic to take into great consideration depending on whether you teach English in a country the heavily depends on different phonetics and pronunciation.
