Often as teachers we can be intently focused on the students understanding of the vocabulary and grammar of the English language that we can often over look simply having the students speak and write the language in real life settings. Language is not set into a neat box of proper grammar and structure and there are many variations that non english speakers can face if they are not used to using English in more common settings. This unit provided multiple ways in which more speaking and writing can be incorporated into the classroom. At first, it can be intimidating to use an unknown new language, but the more practice and time that is dedicated to using it, the more comfortable and confident the students will feel.
