As a bilingual(Japanese/English) I have always taken note to be very careful when using my Japanese when teaching Japanese students English Conversation. Especially in the Grammar-translation stage, it is easy for them to rely on my Japanese, especially when students beg for clarity in their native language. I have taken great precautions regarding this and try other methods to gear away from "translation" as often as possible. As my platform is on Skype and primarily one-on-one, I find it easier to engage, study and activate (and its variants) with intermediate to advanced students. I will take note and implement methods presented here (such as PPP) in future for my beginners. Thank you very much. Mona
