This unit has shown how to a teacher can use eye contact , gestures and voice to communicate clearly with the students. It has discussed the management of the class , with seating arrangements and using different group organization to facilitate the best outcome.
The unit also shows how to allow the students to feel a sense of rapport and ways to reduce the teacher talk time .It discusses how all students need to have equal opportunity to speak and learn and ways the teacher can enable this to happen .The unit also talks about discipline and how to deal with problematic behaviors. I have also learnt the need for clear instructions, how to utilise the black board in the best possible way. Above all I have learnt that a teacher is here to facilitate rather than just instruct and to do so , showing a love for the job.
