This is a good overview on using games that we may have grown up with to elicit learning of a new language. The games would also be great to teach art students how to think creatively as well. I learned how to think outside of the box in getting people to be motivated to learn something they may or may not be interested in learning about. These types of activities would be good for all ages but often the best activities may have been games or books we used as children as native speakers of the language.
