In unit 10 I have read about evaluating students, and different way to do it. It states a lot about different tests used for different purposes. All from beginners level to people who tent to move to an english speaking country, or perhaps working in an english speaking environment. We learn about why it's important to evaluate the students, and that many schools want you to test your students regardless. In the beginning of the course, you would do a placement test to get to know the level of the students english, you would also give a diagnostic test, to see what the student already know,and to help the teacher prepare materials for the classes and the course. Throughout the course you would to progress tests to keep track on the students progress, what has been remembered and learned, and what might have been forgotten or missed out on along the way. Practice tests are given to prepare the students for the external examination.
