This unit talks about ways to assess a student's language. There are mainly there ways, tutorials, evaluation by the students and tests. I think tests are the more commonly used than the other two. For tests, there're placement tests, progress tests, diagnostic tests, practice tests, general external examinations and so on. This is very helpful for me because it explained the function of each different test which will help me to design different tests for different aims while teaching.
