These videos were great examples of what to do (and what to avoid doing)in the classroom. In the first video, the teacher speak very quickly and his lesson was all over the place with very little structure. The students were very confused and felt unconfident because of the teaching style, so they participated much less and spoke very quietly when they did participate. The teacher was also very harsh on the students if the students gave an answer that he wasn't wanting or if they pronounced something he viewed as incorrect. In the second video, he spoke much more clearly and was a lot friendlier and encouraging from the beginning. This made students comfortable to participate in the classroom. He also had them work in pairs/groups of three during the worksheet activity so that they had to talk to one another instead of just independently.
