This unit was a little more difficult for me than units in the past have been. I kept getting confused about expressing time in reported speech. I understood the conditionals pretty well I think, but the reported and direct speech really confused me. I would have never thought of this as part of the English language. It just comes so naturally to native speakers, I didn't even realize it was a thing or that I had been doing it. After completing this unit, I realize how important conditionals and reported speech is for students to know, especially when I think about the mistakes that can be easily made by students in this area.
