This was a relatively short unit about various materials that can be used in lessons. I for one am not a fan of using course books, although I know they do have their advantages. I believe using authentic materials was talked about in a previous unit, so that was a refresher. I also thought it was interesting that a section for analyzing the course book was included in this unit. I feel like a lot of people would struggle with analyzing a material to use and would overlook some important aspects to consider, such as methodology, skills, and the relevancy of the topics included.
