This unit was devoted to teaching productive skills (writing and speaking). What I personally appreciated the most was that the unit was filled with examples on how to make something boring not so boring and how to trasform writing into an activity everybody would enjoy. There is indeed a stereotype that writing should be done mostly at home, where a student can concentrate more and therefore spend more time thinking about his/her ideas and general purpose of a text. In my opinion, this works only half of the time and mostly depends on each particular student's motivation and desire to study. I am sure I've learnt some of the tricks to make it work now. Obviously, speaking part (teaching it) is also quite important, but usually it does not involve any problems if a teacher is competent and going through all the basic stages of teaching English (Engage, Study and Activate phases).
