I was a bit surprised to learn that writing is the skill that is least taught in TEFL classes, because I do think that it is a very important one. I am currently taking a creative writing class, and my instructor has worked with the class extensively on the topic of writing and how to do so properly. Throughout the course I was thinking how I would be able to use some of things that I was taught to teach my future students, of course in a simplified manner. Basic things like establishing the tone of a piece of text and how to avoid being unnecessarily wordy are things that I think I would like to teach.
