In Unit 10, Evaluation and Testing, we are taught the different kinds of testing that exist for a student such as: Diagnostic tests, Placement test, Practice test, and Progress test. Each test serves a different function a good English teacher must utilize all these tools based on a students current educational needs. For instance, to monitor a students progress: use a progress test. But, to ensure students are placed at the correct grade level: use a placement test.
Lastly, we are exposed to the variety of different exams that English learners may be interested in eventually completing. A good teacher must be privy to these differences and ensure that his or her class lessons are catering to the students eventual educational goals.
