This unit was overall about giving different ideas to approach teaching, particularly for the ESA method. I did not realize there were so many different approaches to teaching English as a second language and find that very interesting to consider how different approaches may be applied under different circumstances. I personally find it very helpful to have these different ideas listed with how they are applied, as well as the different challenges that may arise and potential adaptations that may be needed for different groups (e.g, if one’s class is at the starter level, you will need to be very careful that they understand the appropriate way to play “I Spy”.).
