In this unit , I learnt how to assess a students' language level through the use of tutorials , evaluation by the students and tests. I learnt that placement tests are designed to help the teacher place new students according to their language ability. The example placement tests suggested in this unit has given me information as to what an actual placement test looks like. Moreover, this unit has given me information on general external examinations such as IELTS and TOEIC.
