From this unit I learnt that there are many resources one can use when teaching. Although I implement these resources in my own Grade 1 classroom, I do not always think to vary the resources to such an extent as is taught in this unit. There are many different ways to use the resources in order for teaching to be effective and for learning to be effective. Varying resources makes the lessons less predictable, thus making it more fun for the learners which in turn means that they are more likely to actively engage in the lesson, meaning that what is taught is more likely to be retained.
