The topic of unit 14 was the course books and lesson material that can be used in a classroom situation. Initially they discuss the two forms of materials which can be used in a lesson, authentic and creative. The unit gives several examples of both types of materials and then moves on to the course books themselves. Pointing out the advantages and disadvantages to using course books the unit also helps in giving you a good idea of how to best use them. Over all, I would say that I learned a lot more about how course books can best be used and how to integrate them properly into my planned lessons as well as how to not overuse them.
