In this Unit we have learn that we use modal verb to express something that can probably certainly, or possibly happen. It teaches us modal verbs differ from other verbs, because they are not used separately, and do not indicate a specific action or state, they just reflect its modality, the attitude of the speaker to the action. Modal verbs are a small class of auxiliary verbs used mostly to express modality. they can be distinguished from other verbs by their defectiveness and by the fact that they do not take the ending s in the third person singular.
