This unit was about learning new vocabulary, grammar, and functions of a foreign language. These are the basis to perfectly learn a certain language. It is very important that the instructor's or teacher's input is clear and concise at this point. The methodologies and techniques for presenting new vocabulary, grammar and functions can be different and suitable to the class level. For vocabulary, it is true that we can learn as many words as possible regardless of the class level we are because as stated in this unit our receptive vocabulary is larger than our productive vocabulary. We may know a lot more words that we can actually use because we might not know how to and where to use them. Language grammar, functions and forms are also very important items for students; this is how we can learn how a certain language is constructed and how we can use in different contexts. Teacher's role in presenting these items is really essential. This was another interesting unit.
