Conditionals are if/when statements that allude to past or future possibilities and the different types of conditionals may offer some difficulty to English students. Also somewhat confusing is reported speech, specifically how tenses change when we are reporting what others have said. Like the other units on tenses this unit is very helpful because most native speakers inherently know how to use conditionals or report speech in the correct tense but this unit breakdown the points so we can explain them to ESL students.
