This unit taught me about different kinds of tests and how tests can help students and teachers of the English language. Placement tests are used to make sure students are put into an appropriate class for their level. Diagnosis tests are used to evaluate what student in a class know and what their strengths and weaknesses are. Progress tests evaluate students' retention of materials from their current class. Practice tests help students prepare to take external English language evaluations. Tests are a great way to make sure students are learning and retaining relevant information and to help teachers adjust accordingly.
