Although the equipment given as different options in some classrooms to work with, it is true –as established in this unit- that sometimes schools cannot afford them and in some cases, the only thing teachers have, are just boards and they would need to know how to lead their classes with the resources.
Teaching aids such as worksheets are always a good option (of course they will need to be according to the level of the group and the topic); visual aids are incredibly useful as well.
However, when schools have more options as IWBs or Overhead projectors, classes can become even more practical and interesting for students.
Computers and online resources sure are a great option, but not having them in certain communities, these cannot be thought of as an alternative.
