In this lesson, I learned the ways in which to teach vocabulary. Vocabulary selection depends on the appropriacy of the words to the students and the task at hand, and the frequency in which the word will be used. It also depends on the teachability of the word and whether or not the word is suitable for the level you are teaching. Overall, vocabulary should be suited to the lesson and the students' level. This unit also covered the straight arrow and boomerang ESA lesson structures, and their different benefits. This lesson was helpful to me because it gave me examples of activities to perform in each stage of the lesson.
