This unit was very helpful, because it showed side-by-side what makes up a good lesson versus a difficult to understand lesson. It really shows how simple things like the teacher's attitude, smiling, looking students in the eye, and learning and using the names of the students really makes a difference in their level of enthusiasm, participation, and understanding. It also highlights the importance of going over the directions to an activity in a clear way to make sure the students understand it before they start.
