This unit showed us various class types and the “do”s and “don’t”s for each. Teaching beginner could be challenging as their proficiency level is low. However, it could be rewarding because teachers can see progress. When teaching individual students, teachers need to participate more as a partner in the class. As for the children, teachers need to assume parent’s role, with repetition and positive encouragement to assist the children in learning. For business English, teachers should conduct a need analysis before preparing the course, and be ready to set a scheduled evaluation. Although both monolingual and multilingual class present their very own advantages and disadvantage, teachers should still use very methods and be flexible in class.
