I have been evaluated by a superior who also stated that I need to allow paired work. However, given the size of my class and the atmosphere therein, I cannot allow paired work due to discipline issues. However, I noted that I DO need to allow students to check and grade their own work so that they might learn from their errors. I am employing that now using color-coding to help them understand why they missed a problem and to help them remember it.
