Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

This unit was about the role of the teacher and learners in a classroom. It discussed characteristics of a good teacher, and characteristics of a good student. A good teacher is kind, patient, motivating, and respectful of the students' culture. It is important for a teacher to build a good rapport with the students, to earn their respect and motivate them to learn. A teacher can play many different roles in the classroom, depending on what type of lesson you are implementing and what your students need at that time. These roles include being a controller, organizer, assessor, prompter, participant, tutor, facilitator, model, and monitor. A teacher should be careful not to use just one of these role majority of the time, but should use all of them at various points. This will help develop the skills of the learners. A good learner is willing to listen, ask questions, experiment, make mistakes, and most importantly, learn. Learners can be at any level from beginner to advanced. One thing I learned from this unit that I didn't know before was the Common European Framework that listed their levels for learners. These 6 levels are similar to the 5 levels that I was familiar with as an Early Childhood Education major in college. The students that I will be working with are around the upper-intermediate level and are highly motivated. I will need to encourage them to take more responsibility for their learning.
