I found learning about the relationship between learners and their teacher important, for I strongly value relationships between people and find them vital in teamwork. The knowledge of which qualities enable being a great teacher or good learner, which roles are to be played and when is a pillar for gaining professional excellence in teaching and enabling students to achieve impressive results. A highlight of what I learned in the unit was student motivation. Particularly, examples of why students may desire to learn English. This information is essential to me, since knowing the answer to ‘Why?’ one does anything is a key to engaging the person and motivating hard work.
