This unit was about teachers and learners.
- There are many qualities that define a good teacher such as the ability to motivate students, caring about the learning of the students before caring about the teaching.
- Teachers have several roles depending mostly of the type of activity they organized and the level of English the students have.
- What makes a good learner, the different age groups and their different characteristics. Such as the teenager group are less motivated than the primary school group and that the pre-schoolers group respond mostly with games, songs and crafts.
- Different language levels to better separate students according to their abilities so they remain motivated and learn better.
- Various reasons for which people decide to learn English
I have learned that not only is it important to have motivated learners but that the teacher should be mostly student-centered and care about the learning of the students to be a good teacher.
