This unit discussed teaching pronunciation, and how important it is. Intonation and stress were covered, with teaching ideas for each topic. Typical examples of sound joining were provided, also to introduce the importance of students (and teachers) being able to accurately use dictionaries and the international phonetic alphabet when teaching phonics. This was discussed in quite some detail, including several exercises and a very detailed and helpful sample video lesson. Finally articulation was covered, included both the physical places of articulation, and the different manners of articulation. Examples, and sample activity ideas for teaching these concepts were also provided in the lesson.
