This unit discussed productive skills, writing and speaking, and how they are taught in the classroom. The differentiation between accuracy activities versus fluency activities and using them at appropriate times during a lesson was covered. Classroom speaking activities, and the different types used, as well as tips to encourage students to speak were offered with a detailed creative speaking lesson. Teaching writing skills was also covered, including the specific concerns that can arise and how to address them, also with a detailed lesson plan. Tips for making both productive skills engaging in a classroom were discussed at length, as well as the usefulness that games can have for teaching ESA lessons.
