This unit provided clear classroom demonstrations of an effective lesson, and a much less effective lesson. Firstly, it showed the massive effect that the attitude of the teacher has on the success of the lesson, and impact this has on the general learning environment. It also clearly demonstrated the the importance of a well thought out and organised lesson plan. I thought it was important to observe the tone, and use of language in the second video also, showing the necessity of speaking clearly and using level appropriate vocabulary. Finally it did an extremely effective job of expressing the importance of appropriate correction and the pivotal role that plays in the students enthusiasm and level of engagement during the lesson.
