This unit helps to consolidate earlier units about the different phases in conducting a lesson and various activities for each phase using practical examples of topics to be taught. It is helping me to have a clearer idea of how to have a fun lesson without missing out on the learning objectives for the students. The emphasis on flexibility and being observant of how the class progresses is very important as it keeps the students interested to learn well. Having a good record of the lessons plans is also beneficial if the same class has different teachers teaching them - the teachers don't waste precious time trying to figure out what the other teachers have taught the students and can delve right into lessons. It may also boost the students' confidence in the teachers to know that the teachers are organised and have a learning plan for them. Having a good record may also help teachers determine if they should spend more time on certain topics that the students struggled with.
