Unit 3 provides a variety of insight about different ways to manage a classroom. It emphasized how important a teacher's voice, eye contact, and physical position are when delivering instruction to the student. The unit emphasized the importance of building rapport with the students, but doing so in a way that "keeps them on their toes." This reinforces the need for the teacher to confidently keep things varied, inclusive and interesting; otherwise, the student may become bored and the teacher will have to deal with disciplinary issues. A confident teacher will control their emotions and address the behavior and not the student. Overall, the unit provides keen insight into how to manage a class through empathetic, yet confident execution of exciting, student-centered instruction.
