It will be important to be familiar with a variety of resources for my classes to avoid the constant use of textbooks. I think a textbook would be useful but only when supplemented by further teaching. The materials given in this unit, along with the links to a couple of various websites will come in very handy in the future.
I like the idea of using authentic materials but can see how this could challenge beginner students. But when it is appropriate I look forward to making the content very interesting and inspiring debate.
