Teaching writing skills will be especially difficult if I have an eclectic class. Pronunciation can be difficult, but I am more interested in handwriting. I do not have beautiful handwriting myself but look forward to teaching English characters to those who cannot produce them.
I am fascinated by the distinction between accuracy and fluency. I think in most cases fluency will be the category that I will favour. I will need to remember to equally value both.
Games will be an integral part of all of my lessons. The games provided will be useful but I know that there are a plethora of English word board games out there. I have always loved playing them and they are mostly very fun. I am excited to play them in order to improve my students productive AND receptive skills.
