This lesson will be useful in all of my lesson planning.
The content is mostly intuitive, but I enjoyed the idea of where to pitch the lesson difficulty and of pre-teaching difficult vocabulary. To what extent I do these things will depend on how well I know my students and consequently how interested they are in my the topic that I choose.
I look forward to focusing on understanding language concepts through understanding context. I think one of the most useful skills students can have is a readiness to attempt language comprehension without a full knowledge of every word in a sentence.
The lesson plans here also had a great flow to them. It felt very logical to pre-teach difficult vocabulary, then go on to listening or reading some material and then answering questions all the while continuing the discussion on the topic.
