In this unit the videos give a great example of a lesson and it is insightful to see this and watch it with the perspective of both student and teacher, and see the faults from both sides as well as what is effective. The different videos of the same teacher helps me to compare what behavior is better for keeping the students engaged and interested and how the students might be feeling with different attitudes and energy from the teacher, for e.g. just by the teacher introducing himself or not can make a big difference in the teacher- student relationship. It is helpful to compare what I would have done differently and to improve on this teacher and this lesson. For example in the first video, I would have had a much more interesting, warm and welcoming energy whereas this teacher feels very cold and disconnected to the class. This unit also shows different examples of the different lesson structures previously learned which is helpful to see played out in real time and to use as an indication.
