The unit video focused on a wide range of issues related to the materials and teaching aids that a teacher can use to help them present an effective lesson in the English language classroom. The video looked at fundamental techniques for improving board work, what type of visual aids are most effective in different situations and the importance of worksheets and other activities. It also touched on the use of resource books, dictionaries in the classroom and issues/checks surrounding the use of technology. Whereas, the chapter mainly explored the pros and cons of using resource books as well as the differentiation between authentic and created materials.
