The subject covered in this unit relate to the area of pronunciation. It examined the International Phonetic Alphabet and the ways in which it can be used to help teachers and students. It also covered related subjects such as how we use the mouth to produce different sounds, the importance of word stress and intonation in communicating feelings and intentions, as well as the various ways in which native speakers change and adapt their spoken language.
The attached demonstration video provided a precise example of the aforementioned; even providing other useful methods to help students practice the accuracy of their speech. It also provided further examples of how to present lessons in a real classroom environment, with the examples of activities that are useful in helping students develop their pronunciation skills in a fun and engaging manner.
