Unit 19 is about teaching special groups that include: beginners, individual students, children, and business English. Within the beginner group there are many different kinds that include: absolute beginner, false beginner, adult beginner, young beginner and beginner without Roman alphabet. I agree that teaching children can be one of the most rewarding of all student classes to teacher. However, there are many do's and don'ts for teaching children such as: always use English as the language of instruction. Don't cheat by using their native language. It is important to speak slowly, in short and direct sentences and to give demonstrations. There are many others but I have mentioned some of the do's and don'ts of teaching children. It is important to take in account, some of the reasons why children may have difficulty behaving and listening. But the behavior and attitude/personality of the teacher is perhaps the single most important factor in a classroom and can have a major effect on discipline.
